What should we wear for the session?

A simple, cosy outfit is ideal for this year’s set! Earthy tones like cream, forest green, burgundy, navy, and soft browns will look beautiful against the rustic wooden backdrop. If you’d like to lean into the festive feel, you’re very welcome to go for rich reds, tartan patterns, or even a classic Christmas jumper.

For a more outdoorsy or wintery look, layering is key—think woolly jumpers, warm coats, knitted scarves, little hats and boots. These textures not only keep things cosy but also photograph beautifully in this cabin-inspired setting.

If you prefer something dressier, feel free to wear your Christmas best—party outfits or even festive pyjamas are totally welcome too, especially for little ones! The most important thing is that your children feel comfortable and happy in what they’re wearing, so please keep that in mind when choosing outfits.

As always, I’ll be asking children to take off their shoes once inside the set to help keep everything clean. Please pop on clean, neutral socks (black, white, or cream work best) so their little toes stay photo-ready!
